What is the Foreign Technical Intern Training Program?

The final goal of the Foreign Technical Intern Training Program is for foreigners who have acquired skills in Japan to contribute to the development of their home countries.

By accepting foreigners as technical intern trainees, it is thought that it will help to solve the chronic labor shortage, and there is also an increasing number of companies that are positive about accepting them.

What is a supervising organization?

A supervising organization is a non-profit organization that conducts the supervision business stipulated by the Technical Intern Training Program. One of the main activities is support work when Japanese companies accept technical intern trainees from overseas. We support a series of procedures from the recruitment of technical intern trainees locally (recruitment itself is done by the local sending organization) to the specific acceptance such as interviews and immigration procedures. For this reason, it can be said that it will be easier for companies that do not have overseas branches to accept technical intern trainees.


Another important role is to audit whether appropriate training is being carried out at the company after acceptance based on the foreign technical intern training system.


"What is the actual acceptance like?" There are two types of acceptance of trainees: "individual company type" and "organization supervision type".
"Individual company type" is a type in which a Japanese company directly accepts full-time employees of overseas subsidiaries, joint ventures, and business partner companies. , Implement technical intern training at affiliated small and medium-sized enterprises (accepting companies).
